Jigsaw Entertainment

Jigsaw Entertainment is an indie television production house specialising in light entertainment, comedy and drama production. Jigsaw Entertainment's relaxed approach to production and unique creative and business philosophies ensure maximum commitment on both sides of the camera.

In November 2003, Jigsaw Entertainment was named SPAA Independent Producer of the Year and in 2007 was named SPAA Drama Producer of the Year. Established in 1999, Jigsaw has worked with most of Australia's top entertainment talent over the last decade.

Jigsaw Entertainment's core business strategy provides a creative solution to developing commercially successful productions whilst recognising the need to acknowledge and financially reward the contribution of creators.

Recent projects

Jigsaw recently completed series 2 of Stupid Stupid Man, a sitcom for TV1 (and the ABC) distributed by Sony. Jigsaw's other recent productions include the Ronnie Johns Half Hour (a sketch comedy show hosted by a sexually dubious cowboy riding a papier mache horse), and Out of the Question a comedy quiz for Channel Seven.

Development principles

Our experience tells us that accessing a genuinely fresh idea from a producer, writer, writer/director, writer/performer is about patience with the individual and the creative process. We mainly produce new local formats.

Projects currently under the Jigsaw Entertainment banner have already produced significant interest locally and internationally. Following our philosophy, these come in the main from existing creative partners and will further serve to cement relationships with our creative teams.
